Generalissmo Melissa Small is proud to announce that a KC 135 aircraft from the 190th Air Refueling Wing will be part of the Grand Parade on Saturday, October 29th. The aircrew consists of three Kansas Coyotes, a division of the Kansas Air National Guard.
The aircraft will be piloted by Major Dan Skoda, Topeka, Kansas. Major Skoda is formerly of Independence, Kansas, and was co-owner of Independence Aviation Inc. from 1995 to 1998, and a former member of the Independence, Kansas Rotary Club. He was a member of the ?ole Experimental Aviation Association Chapter 980. He is currently a full time active duty guardsman.
Major Skoda is joined by Captain Jeff Dickman, of Grinnell, Kansas. He is a part-time traditional guardsman.
Sergeant Joey Sterbenz, of Topeka, Kansas, will be the acting Boom Operator during the fly over. Sgt. Sterbenz is a part-time, traditional guardsman.
All are veterans of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn, Odyssey Dawn, Unified Protector, Noble Eagle, Northern Watch and Southern Watch.
