Annual Neewollah Chili Cook-off and Fun Day

The Annual Chili Cook-Off is held the first Saturday of Neewollah week at the park oval.

Local cooks compete with their own recipes for the best variety of chili. Tasting kits can be purchased so that the public can be part of at least one of the awards.

The Dessert Competition

A new addition in 2008 is the Dessert Competition with the stiputlation that the dessert must have pumpkin or pumpkin spice in it. A taste kit for this may also be purchased.

Other fun categories available are the Hot Dog Eating Contest and the Pillow Jousting Tournament.

2008 Chili Cook-Off Results:

1^st Place winner was awarded to Robert Lattin and his team, Lattin Chili

2^nd Place winner was Fat Boy Barbeque

3^rd Place winner was Three Witches Brew

The People's Choice award was a tie between Cable One and Fat Boy Barbeque.

Tom Blankenship's Chili Anytime received a Neewollah spirit basket for the best-decorated booth.

The Big Chili team won for the Most Colorful Chili

Bumpy's Brew Crew won for the Most Off-the-Wall Taste.
