Food Stands Open

Each year the Food Vendors committee starts early contacting interested parties to insure Neewollah goers find a great mix of good food as they enjoy downtown Independence. Concession Stands are open Wednesday through Saturday and most concessions open late morning and stay open as late as 10 p.m. or until they run out of food supplies each night. The cinnamon roll stand, which has been coming to Neewollah for over 30 years, opens early Wednesday morning and stays open 24 hours a day through the festival. The wide variety of food offerings includes Indian tacos, Philly steak sandwiches, funnel cakes, Polish sausages, fresh lemonade, shrimp creole, fried pickles, and much much more.
 Food Vendor Decorating Contest: In keeping with the theme for Neewollah "Neewollah & Fun - We Go Together" and the Musical GREASE .. we are encouraging all vendors to spruce up their trailers and join in the fun.. Prizes will be awarded to the best 3 trailers.. $100 for 1st, $75 second and $50 for third .. to be awarded Thursday night on the bandstand. The 3 winning trailers will also be given a sign to hang on their trailer announcing them as the winners...

1. Overall appearance of Stand
2. Cleanliness and upkeep
3. Use of the theme in food
4. Use of theme in stand decorations
