The Neewollah Board has announced that they are looking for an official “Neewollah Photographer.” In the past, the position of Neewollah Photographer has, basically, been a volunteer job, with the photographer’s option of selling pictures of various events to individuals who had an interest in purchasing them. The board has decided to take bids from area photographers who would like the opportunity to work with the volunteers in Neewollah events.
Any area photographer who has the capability to work in digital photography, so photos may be delivered in a timely manner, and who has a method for the public to easily access the photographer and pictures, may bid for this position by going to the Neewollah website,
http://www.neewollah.com/Event-Applications-232.asp, to see the specifications for the position and to download the form. The form should be returned to Neewollah Headquarters, P.O. Box 311, Independence, KS 67301, by Monday, July 15, 2008. The duties of the photographer would begin immediately upon the acceptance of the bid.
For those hobbyists who like to see their work displayed and attend many of the Neewollah events, the board has other volunteer photographer positions available for the Neewollah website. The site is very active and is programmed by Tom Schwarz, Neewollah Board member, and his volunteer crew. Several “shutter bugs” are needed to provide digital snapshots of numerous Neewollah events, which are then published to the website within two hours of the event. These are separate pictures from the ones required by the official photographer’s. If you are interested in helping in this capacity, send some samples of your work and your contact information to Neewollah Box 311, Independence, KS 67301, and you will be contacted.
Neewollah’s Generalissimo this year is Marty Reichenberger, and the theme for the 2008 Neewollah celebration is “Welcome to Our Town.”
