The Real Southern Comedy Tour
features a trio of top Southern comedians Vic Henley, Jerry Carroll and Larry Weaver
A true comedy veteran, Alabama-born headliner Vic Henley has done it all. Co-author of a national bestselling book with fellow comedian Jeff Foxworthy, Vic has appeared on HBO, CBS, NBC, FOX, MTV, BRAVO, CMT and just about every other standup comedy show on television. He was a VH-1 VJ and has his own Comedy Central Presents half hour special as well as performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. With an easy style that covers a variety of topics, Vic's material has been featured on nationally syndicated radio shows like John Boy and Billy as well as SIRIUS XM's Raw Dog and Blue Collar comedy channels. Vic's innate ability to turn perfectly reasonable adults into guffawing idiots has made him a crowd favorite all over the world. Whether it's HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Montreal's Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, or the granddaddy of them all-The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Henley has drawn rave reviews and packed houses. His success at Edinburgh led to a slew of BBC TV appearances on stand up and talk shows, some where he was the first American to perform. Vic has also performed on over 500 college campuses receiving 8 "Comedian of the Year" nominations. His popularity in the Corporate and Association markets has landed him many high profile gigs including co-hosting an event with former President George H.W. Bush. In 2009 Vic combined his writing and performing skills in the Sacha Baron Cohen feature film, Bruno. Vic resides in New York City and can be seen on numerous stages including The Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, Comix and The Comedy Cellar. See http://www.vichenley.com
Feature act Jerry Carroll's Southern charm and humor come honestly. From the time he could walk, Jerry joined his father and uncle to farm tobacco, corn, small grain, soybeans, cattle and hogs. Spending 14 hours a day in a tractor cab gave him plenty of time to think about his life's dream of becoming a comedian. Now one of the country's most sought-after acts for blue collar audiences, Jerry harvests a bumper crop of hilarity in his fast-paced, high-energy show. His relatable topics about everyday life crack up the most hard-to-please crowds. Jerry has opened concerts for music artists such as Michael Bolton, Patty Loveless, Lyle Lovett, and Larry Gatlin. Everywhere he goes, he leaves audiences roaring with laughter. See http://www.agriculturespeaker.com
Opener Larry Weaver has delighted audiences across America with his clean, original comedy. Larry grew up in the rural mill village of Saxapahaw, NC, and started performing at a young age. After majoring in accounting at the University of North Carolina, Larry left his CPA dreams behind to tour across America with improv comedy group Selected Hilarity. His solo career took off in 1998 when legendary radio DJ Dr. Demento began playing Larry's debut album, Pack Full of Comedy. Larry's hilarious routine about old people listening to rap music captured the attention of concert promoters who booked him on tour with Grammy Award winner "Weird Al" Yankovic. Larry has since gone on to share the stage with Faith Hill, Ray Romano ("Everybody Loves Raymond"), and Chris Rock - just to name a few. Larry's most recent comedy CD has enjoyed heavy airplay on Sirius XM Blue Collar Radio. The album contains "Ghost in the Trailer," a hilarious tale about a family terrorized by a redneck ghost.
