Michelle Knopick is an Independence Kansas native. She recently received her Bachelors of Music degree from Belmont University in August 2016. Michelle's style has been referred to as a Folk Country sound with a 1950's vintage look. Gaining worldwide recognition for her single "Fairytales" she was debuted on the worlds most famed country radio station WSM Grand Ole Opry. She was then featured on BBC's country radio station in London and has had success with radio stations across the country.
Knopick's next single "Tonight" is scheduled to be released in August 2016, following this fall with her first EP. Her EP is influenced by artist such as Brandi Carlile, Miranda Lambert, Civil Wars, and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. Knopick will then hit the road promoting her newest sounds across the country.
She is an active member of Belmont University Songwriters Association (BUSA), GrammyU, and CMA Edu, and is a BMI writer. Knopick has performed in various shows such as Christmas at Belmont (airs on PBS), Honky Tonks, festivals around Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, Little house on the Prairie festival, Relay for Life, Country Colgate Showdowns, and many more. One of her goals for 2016 is to play at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville Tennessee. She is also Miss Talent of Queen Neelah 2011.As a performing musician, she has also taught music and songwriting to kids to help cope with everyday struggles of life. She has been seen on the hit ABC show Nashville, and CMT's Top 20 Countdown. A few of Michelle's musical influences are the Civil Wars, Sarah Jarosz and The Pistol Annies.
