Dear General Ann,
One of the highlights through the years for me has been the appearance of various military units. I heard the other day that the West Point Knights Caps are coming this year. Is that true and where will they perform?
Thank you…. Retired Military Man
Dear Retired Military Man,
After being Generalissimo for over six months and having watched my father, brother, and husband fulfill this responsibility, I have learned an important truism. That is no matter how carefully you plan, work, and appoint committees, "Lady Luck" plays a very important part of a successful celebration. The West Point Knights Cabs, a glee club, is exactly what it is named-a group of multi-talented young people who enjoy music and enjoy sharing their talents. Now for the luck part. Russ Canaday, local attorney contacted me about having the glee club to perform where we think it is appropriate. I tried my best not to scream "yes" into the phone but I am not sure I was successful. These musicians will be appearing on the bandstand and perhaps in the schools and/or civic groups. This is indeed a special group and will be a tremendous addition to the Neewollah celebration.
I am sure the community will open their arms and hearts to the West Point Knights Caps.
Thank you for your questions. Ann W.Crow Generalissimo 2005 |
