Dear General Lea,
I read the Neewollah website often, and decided to write to you under “Ask the General.” Will any question I ask be answered on the website or in the newspaper? A friend of mine said you answered her question through an e-mail. How does this work? Thanks! Googler
Dear Googler,
I decided to begin my “Ask the General” columns with your letter, since it will probably help others learn how to reach me with their questions. Ann Crow, Generalissimo 2005, began this column last year with the idea of informing people of various aspects of the Neewollah celebration by answering questions received from community members or online visitors.
Your questions concerning Neewollah events or history may be submitted in writing to Neewollah, Inc., P.O. Box 311, Independence, KS 67301 or they may be submitted online through Neewollah’s website, www.neewollah.com. Look for the section titled, “Ask the General.” I will attempt to respond to as many questions as possible and for which space allows. Some will be answered personally to you online or by mail, and others, which I believe will help keep the community informed about Neewollah events, will appear in the paper. Keep watching for our column each Monday.
Questions of all types have come across my computer. I just received an interesting query from an online visitor who wondered if anyone remembered American Bandstand doing a remote in 1967 or 68 which had been re-broadcast. I did not remember ever hearing that, so I checked with our Neewollah historians. It was their conclusion that the only national exposure of Neewollah on television was the HBO special shot here in 1980. If anyone has any information on this, please contact me.
Thank you for your questions.
