2026 Logo - Designed by: Christi Tackkett-O'Connel

Neewollah Generalissimo, Cody Dixon, has announced the 2026 Neewollah logo and logo designer, Christi Tackkett-O’Connell.

Tackkett-O’Connell, who grew up in Independence, said Neewollah was always her favorite time of year. She recalls many fond memories of the celebration and the traditions that make it a special part of the community.

Having been friends with Dixon since kindergarten, Tackkett-O’Connell said it was an honor to contribute to the 2026 celebration as Dixon serves as Generalissimo.
“I was thrilled when Cody asked me to help with the logo this year,” she said. “I’m proud of everything she does to support Independence and even prouder to call her my friend.”

Tackkett-O’Connell now lives in Tolland, Connecticut, with her husband, David, and their two children, Elle, 10, and Fitz, 8.
“From the moment Christi and I started exploring logo ideas, I knew she would create something special, and she exceeded every expectation,” Dixon said.

Neewollah 2026 will take place from Oct. 23 through Oct. 31.
