Neewollah’s parades are the crown jewels of the festival, transforming downtown Independence into a vibrant corridor of music, color, and community spirit. Whether you are marching in the street or cheering from the sidewalk, these three distinct events offer something for every generation.
DooDah Parade - This is where the adults take center stage. Known for its wit and whimsey, the DooDah features grown-ups decked out in elaborate, often satirical, and highly creative costumes. It’s a chance for the "big kids" to harken back to their youth and let their imaginations run wild.
Kiddie Parade - A cherished tradition dating back to 1959, this parade is all about the little ones. Elementary students from across the region don their finest Halloween costumes to walk the route, creating a sea of pint-sized superheroes, monsters, and princesses.
Grand Parade - The festival’s massive finale draws thousands of spectators to the heart of downtown. Stretching for hours, this spectacular procession features a high-energy mix of marching bands, intricately designed floats, classic cars, and equestrian units.
