Neewollah's parades rank among the town's most significant events. Many people head to downtown Independence to either participate or watch them. The DooDah parade features adults only decked out in creative costumes, the Kiddie parade is designed for children to walk the route, and the Grand Parade is a large event that stretches for hours, winding through the heart of the downtown area featuring many marching bands, floats, classic cars, horses and more!
DooDah Parade - The adults get to live it up in the Neewollah DooDah Parade. They harken back to their younger years, dressing up in some of the most creative costumes out there.
Kiddie Parade - The Kiddie parade goes back to 1959. Most elementary school students dress up in their finest Halloween costumes.
Grand Parade - Each year the Grand Parade draws thousands to Independence. Marching bands and floats make parade day a real joy.
